What are the Qualifications of Teachers?
Our head teacher has a Masters in Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education and is certified through California Commission on Teacher Credential.
What are the ages of children you accept?
The program accepts from 6 weeks to 11 years old.
What are Aprenden Play hours?
We are open 24 hours Monday - Friday.
Are diapers included?
No. Diapers are not included, but we have resources where you may get some at no charge.
How do I prepare my child for kindergarten?
Children are engage in learning and practicing social and emotional skills. This foundation prepares a child to be successful in any role they take after attending our preschool.
What if my child gets sick?
We’ll call you or a designated adult from your Emergency Information Form so that your child can be picked up as soon as possible. While waiting to be picked up, your child will rest quietly, away from other children.
What will my child be doing?
Your child will participate in sensory-based learning experiences while receiving positive, nurturing guidance from the us.
Do you accept payment from agencies that pay for child care services?
Yes. If you would like additional help finding a source to pay for child care please contact us, and will refer you the right direction.
How much does Aprenden Play cost?

Does my child have to be up to date with their shots?
Yes. Prior to enrolling the child they must have all their shots up date. If parents fail to keep up to date with shots they will be denied care for their child.
Do I need to pack lunch?
No. We provide an assortment of healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks for the children to eat each day. We provide breakfast, lunch, and two snacks. Parents are allowed to bring their own food for infants drinking formula only.
Does my child need to know how to use the toilet?
No. Together we will create a plan for your child follow at home at the day care to make sure we are consistent with this milestone.
Can I visit or take a tour before I enroll my child?
We invite you to make an appointment and visit our home and get to know me personally and my services. We also encourage to bring your child to observe and interact with the environment and see if we are a good fit for each other.
What is your discipline policy?
We use positive guidance and re-direction to acknowledge children’s feelings and emotions and provide them with social scripts, problem-solving techniques, self-calming activities choices and activities geared toward their interests.
Do you take the children outdoors?
Yes, weather permitting, we take children outside daily. Children should be dressed appropriately for playing on our playground or taking group walks.
What is Aprenden Play doing to prevent the spread of the coronavirus?
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we already followed strict practices for health and cleaning that met or exceeded state and local standards. Since the coronavirus outbreak, we have implemented Health Essential, a set of enhanced protocols based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations for social distancing, disinfection, wellness education and symptom monitoring. The goal of Health Essentials is to uphold the highest level of health precautions and cleanliness for proper child care delivery.
